Easter was a great day! We enjoyed our time with family, and it was a day for me to actually get out side the house! Every Easter the kids and I go to church but I have to make them close their eyes before leaving the house because the Easter bunny hid eggs outside and we dont want anyone to cheat. So try to imagine these 2 boys closing their eyes while walking out to the car. NO PEEKING! We finally get in the car and they are able to open their eyes as soon as we leave the cul de sac. The whole time at church they cannot stop talking about where they will find their Easter basket , and how many eggs they will find! As soon as we get home its time for us to leave again to go out to brunch which this time it was at Afton House Inn, great place great food all I want to say is AMAZING!  So we arrive and we get seated and are waiting for the rest of our family to show up so we can all eat. Still the boys are so antsy they cannot wait to find their baskets. We eat and drive home and again the boys have to close their eyes on the way inside the house. So then off they go looking eagerly for their baskets Eliah finds his first and then Jake found his second. They go through their baskets as fast as they can so they can go outside to go on the egg hunt. They put their shoes on and walk outside the first stop is the garden Jake decided that if you hide jelly beans they will grow into lollipops , there they found 4 lolipops then they are off again trying to find as many eggs as they can!  Some in the front yard and some in the back yard. They open them as fast as they can to see what was hidden... Money, Jelly beans, and MORE Jelly Beans!  I just love how excited they get for so much fun. It reminds me of when I was little how early I would wake up just to try and get a head start before any of my other siblings. We also wanted to paint our sister as an egg.. and this is what we came up with!

cookie time!

It has been a while since we made some chocolate chip cookies so I thought it would be a great day to make some... why not? Well this time I didnt make them they were specially made by Jacob.. He thinks that when adding the flour you need a spoon and a knife to level off the right amount while pouring it into the wet mix ( even though all of that flour is going in there anyways) but whatever he does he makes a great cookie!

Golfing on a cold day

Yesterday Jake and I decided to go hit some golf balls at the driving range, when we left the house we didnt realize how cold it was going to be! We get to the driving range and the winds are super crazy and I have never seen Jake hit the balls so fast! Well about 5 minutes in we get a surprise guest to come see us "ELIAH!" Jake says and runs up to him! I didnt believe Jake at first and so I turned around and there he was! Eliah's step dad and him were in town and saw us hitting golf balls and decided to stop to say hi. What a great surprise when it was so cold out.

Strawberry Shakes

Strawberry Shakes are very popular in our house hold. We decided to have them last night, and Jacob could not stop asking us when we were going to make them. I told Jacob we had to eat dinner first then go grocery shopping, and then we can come home and eat them. By the time I had put the groceries away someone had soon fell asleep ....
